Throughput Optimal Routing in Blockchain-Based Payment Systems

Cryptocurrency networks, such as Bitcoin, have emerged a distributed alternative to traditional centralized financial transaction networks. However, there are major challenges in scaling up the throughput of Lightning network and Spider alternates that build bidirectional payment channels on top cryptocurrency networks using smart contracts, enable fast transactions bypass Blockchain. In this article, we study problem routing processing network. We first propose Stochastic model system, opposed fluid is studied literature. Each link two-sided queue, unlike classical queues, queues not stable unless an external control. notion stability for consisting on-chain rebalancing. then characterize capacity region optimal algorithm stabilizes system under any load within region. The stochastic enables us closed-loop policies, which typically better queuing/delay performance than open-loop policies (or static split rules) investigate through simulations.
